તે પાવર સિસ્ટમના ઘટકને ખામી જેવી અસામાન્ય પરિસ્થિતિઓ સામે રક્ષણ આપે છે. રિલે એ સેન્સિંગ ડિવાઇસ છે જે ખામીને સમજે છે, પછી તેનું સ્થાન નક્કી કરે છે અને અંતે, તે સર્કિટને ટ્રિપિંગ આદેશો મોકલે છે. રિલેમાંથી આદેશ મેળવ્યા પછી સર્કિટ બ્રેકર ખામીયુક્ત તત્વને ડિસ્કનેક્ટ કરે છે. રિલે સાધનોને નુકસાનથી સુરક્ષિત કરે છે અને તેથી આગ જેવા અનુગામી જોખમો, ખાસ કરીને ખામીયુક્ત વિભાગને દૂર કરીને જીવન માટેનું જોખમ ઓછું થાય છે.

यह पावर सिस्टम घटक को असामान्य स्थितियों जैसे दोषों से बचाता है। रिले एक सेंसिंग डिवाइस है जो फॉल्ट को भांप लेता है, फिर उसका स्थान निर्धारित करता है और अंत में, यह सर्किट को ट्रिपिंग कमांड भेजता है। सर्किट ब्रेकर रिले से कमांड प्राप्त करने के बाद दोषपूर्ण तत्व को डिस्कनेक्ट कर देता है। रिले उपकरणों को नुकसान से बचाते हैं और इसलिए आग जैसे बाद के खतरों, जीवन के लिए जोखिम को विशेष रूप से दोषपूर्ण खंड को हटाकर कम किया जाता है।

It protects the power system component against abnormal conditions such as faults. The relay is a sensing device which senses the fault, then determines its location and finally, it sends tripping commands to the circuit. The circuit breaker after getting the command from the relay disconnects the faulted element. Relays protect the equipment from damage and hence subsequent hazards like fire, the risk to the life are reduced by removing the particularly faulted section.
