 જેને કોઈપણ રીતે રિચાર્જ કરી શકાતું નથી. તેઓ નિકાલજોગ છે અને એકવાર તેઓ સંપૂર્ણપણે ડિસ્ચાર્જ થઈ જાય પછી તેનો ઉપયોગ કરી શકાતો નથી. તેનો ઉપયોગ મોટાભાગે રમકડાં, હેન્ડહેલ્ડ ડિવાઇસ અને રિમોટ કંટ્રોલર વગેરેમાં થાય છે. સેકન્ડરી સેલ એ રિચાર્જ કરી શકાય તેવી બેટરી છે જે ઘણી સેંકડો વખત રિચાર્જ કરી શકાય છે (તેના જીવન ચક્ર પર આધાર રાખે છે). પ્રાથમિક કોષની તુલનામાં તેમની પ્રારંભિક કિંમત મોંઘી છે. તેઓ મોટે ભાગે સેલફોન, વાહનો, જનરેટર વગેરેમાં વપરાય છે.

 जिसे किसी भी तरह से रिचार्ज नहीं किया जा सकता है। वे डिस्पोजेबल हैं और पूरी तरह से डिस्चार्ज होने के बाद उनका उपयोग नहीं किया जा सकता है। वे ज्यादातर खिलौनों, हैंडहेल्ड डिवाइस और रिमोट कंट्रोलर आदि में उपयोग किए जाते हैं। सेकेंडरी सेल एक रिचार्जेबल बैटरी है जिसे कई सौ बार रिचार्ज किया जा सकता है (इसके जीवन चक्र पर निर्भर करता है)। इनकी शुरुआती कीमत प्राइमरी सेल की तुलना में महंगी होती है। इनका उपयोग ज्यादातर सेलफोन, वाहन, जनरेटर आदि में किया जाता है।

They are mostly used in toys, handheld devices & remote controllers, etc. The secondary cell is a rechargeable battery that can be recharged several hundreds of times (depends on its life cycle). Their initial cost is expensive compared to the primary cell. They are mostly used in cellphones, vehicles, generators, etc.
